Cultivating a thoughtful,
life-giving education.
Hi, I’m Gina!
I’m a Charlotte Mason educator, literacy advocate, homeschool leader, and a lifelong learner — but before all of that, I’m a mother of four who simply wanted to learn how to educate my children well.
Our Living Learning began at our dining table.
With stacks of living books.
With messy notebooks and nature walks.
With questions that led to more questions.
With the conviction that education is more than achievement — it is formation.
Over the years, what started as our family’s homeschool journey grew into Living Learning Homeschool (LLH) — a Charlotte Mason homeschool provider serving families who desire a thoughtful, relational, and deeply human way of learning. What began at home has grown into a community of parents and educators walking this philosophy together.
I serve as the Founding Director of LLH, mentoring parents, training educators, and designing programs rooted in Charlotte Mason’s philosophy: education is an atmosphere, a discipline, and a life.
But I am also a student.
I continue to study language and literacy education, exploring how children truly make meaning — how narration, oral language, background knowledge, and relationships shape comprehension and thinking. My academic work deepens what I see daily at home and in our community: children are not empty vessels. They are whole persons capable of attention, reflection, and growth.
And beyond the books and research, I paint.
Painting has become part of my own practice of Mother Culture — a quiet space where I slow down, observe beauty, and create with my hands. It reminds me that education is not only intellectual formation, but the cultivation of a full and attentive life. I love the discipline and delight of it — the way color, light, and stillness teach me as much as any book.
Check back soon as I prepare a gallery of my paintings to share.

Our Living Learning is where I gather these threads —
Motherhood.
Charlotte Mason philosophy.
Books
Literacy research.
Leadership.
Faith.
Art and Mother Culture.
Ordinary family life.
Here, I write about cultivating attention instead of anxiety.
About forming habits of mind and heart.
About nurturing imagination without rushing performance.
About raising readers, thinkers, and whole persons.

You’ll find reflections from our homeschool days, conversations about education, gentle leadership thoughts for parents, and sometimes glimpses of our life — books open on the table, music in the background, tea beside a stack of history.
If you are a parent who wants to slow down, think deeply, and educate with intention — you’re in the right place.
