Sewing is somewhat therapy for me. I love the sound of the machine buzzing while the house is still and quiet because its nap time for the kiddos. I see it as therapy and an opportunity to make someone happy 🙂

My friend just got a nook from her hubby and it needs something like this. So I am making her a hand made one. I don’t really sew without a pattern to follow. I’m bad with math and so calculating inches and centimeters can overwhelm me easily 🙂 Nevertheless, I have to at least try and make my own pattern right?

Here is a sneak peak of what I am sewing for my dear friend Val.

Math!

I do not have a Nook but I do know that it is 7.7 x 4.9 x 0.5 inches.
I measured several books of Alab.

The Hungry Caterpillar was the best match for its width and depth 🙂

I’ll post the finished product within the week. Meanwhile, here is a sneak peak
of what my sweet husband is making/building for me 🙂

He is making/building me my own little nook 🙂
